Studio Portrait: This image was taken for the subject who wanted to use it for social media. It was challenging to get the dramatic look that the subject wanted, but I believe I achieved that in the end. The weakest point in this picture is how you can’t see the eyes of the subject, however the dramatic lighting overtakes this, I believe.
Nature: This image was taken after a rainstorm using a macro lens. It was very hard to get proper focus in this image and I think that’s its weakest point, but I think it’s made up for by the vibrance of the colours and the depth of field effect.
Multiple Exposure: This image was taken in a music classroom with the subject moving around the room posing with different instruments. I took a picture each time he moved and then later merged all 13 pictures into one to create the look of a busy music room. This was very challenging as it required a lot of organization, planning, and around 6 hours of editing. The weakest point in this image is the minor ghosting that can be seen throughout whereas the strongest point would be the multiple exposure effect as a whole, because it's so intriguing.
HDR (High Dynamic Range): This image was taken at sunset in my hometown. It was pretty challenging to make because I was on uneven rocks, so it took me some time to adjust for proper composition while under pressure of the vastly descending sun. The weakest point in the image would be the lack of detail in the small things such as the rocks, treeline, etc. Whereas the strongest point is the composition that nicely compliments the beautiful sunset.
Outdoor Portrait: This picture was actually unplanned. I was originally outside working on another project and happened to capture my friend laughing at a joke that someone made. This picture has since become one of my favourites.
High Contrast Head and Shoulders: This image was taken in the studio, inspired by a picture someone posted to the internet. The most challenging aspect of this image was getting the lighting on the face right, which I believe is the weakest point in it, but the creepy effect I was looking for is still there.

Theme: Seasonal Fashion
This theme is all about fashion that you might see a teenager wear throughout a full year. I wanted to go for the look of something you might see on a poster out on the street or on the front of a magazine, and I really like how it came out in the end. Each of the outfits had thought put into even the small details, and the images were edited to be 100% exactly what I was looking for, and I'm very proud of it.
Photo Criticisms
Spring: Here I decided to go with a warmer coloured background because this fashion style would be for Spring which is not extremely warm but no longer cold either, which is why I chose the warmer background as well as the pants and long sleeve shirt. The weakest point in the image is the creases in the shirt. The strongest I think is the model's pose.
Indoor Summer: I chose a very yellow background for this to represent summer because it's very warm. The weakest point in this image is the minor marks that you can see in the backgrounds around the edges of the model where I changed the background with the adjustment brush. The strongest point in this image is the contrast between the blue and yellow which makes a very vibrant and complementing image.
Outdoor Summer: This one is a little more orange just for the sake of differentiation. The weakest point in the image is the duller colours, I think if I had chosen a brighter outfit for the model complementing the background it would have been a bit better. The strongest point in the image is the model's pose and outfit as it perfectly represents summer, looking like someone who is just heading to the beach.
Fall: Here I decided to keep a very neutral background. I could have gone with a sort of orange background, but I think it would have made it too similar to the other images in this theme. The weakest point in the image would be the fairly plain background but at the same time I believe this helps accentuate the strongest point, the models posing, combined with the style and composition of the overall image.
Outdoor Winter: This picture is very blue because I wanted to represent the chilliness of Winter in order to truly immerse the viewer in the image, rather than having a white background that is very clearly in the studio. The weakest point in this image is the grey scarf on top of the grey sweater, I didn't realize until later that this would look slightly strange. I think the strongest point in this image is the feeling I discussed earlier, with it feeling truly “wintery.”
Indoor Winter: This picture I once again wanted to get that really cold feeling, so I had the model try and act as though he was cuddling up to himself for warmth, which I think made for a great effect. I think the strongest point in this image is just how much it shows of the “product.” Assuming this picture was used as an advertisement for the sweater the model is wearing, it makes it look very comfy.
